Wera Tools UK are delighted to extend its multi-year partnership with Motorsport UK for Title Partnership of the British Kart Championships (BKC).
Wera Tools’ products and brand values are a perfect match for the fast-paced precision required for karting. Formed in Germany in 1936, the Wera Tools brand is exciting and innovative, with its products making life easier, safer and full of joy for users.
The BKC is home to fast emerging talent and provides a stepping-stone for international competition or other racing disciplines, with the likes of British F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and George Russell all having cut their teeth at British national level karting.
This year, the Wera Tools British Kart Championships introduced the Wera Tools Karting Excellence Award, created to recognise the mechanic or kart team that has demonstrated exceptional collaboration with their driver or team during each event on the BKC calendar, for which the winner will receive a Wera Tools BKC Tool Kit worth over £1,300.
The 2025 season will once again visit some of the most iconic karting circuits in the UK, with classes for all ages in IAME, Rotax, Honda Cadet, KZ2 plus guest grids.
The new partnership builds on the existing relationship with Motorsport UK, which sees all members receiving an exclusive 10% discounts on all tools via ToolManiac.
“Dan Parker, Head of Karting, Motorsport UK, commented, “We are thrilled to secure the renewed backing of Wera Tools for the British Kart Championships as continued title partner. The level of talent from our competitors continues to grow from strength to strength, with many BKC drivers achieving remarkable success on the global stage, cementing their place in international motorsport. We look forward to working with a brand that provides essential support both on and off the track.”
Ian Walford, Wera Tools UK Managing Director, added, “We are delighted to extend our title sponsorship of the Wera Tools British Kart Championships for another three years. We have enjoyed four great years since our first involvement in 2020 and during that time, the championships have continued to develop into the most competitive and professional series anywhere in the world and is a beacon for fairness. The standard of talent coming through on-track has been exceptional and we are also proud to support the young mechanics and engineers who continue to push the boundaries of kart development. We can’t wait to get back on track in 2025.”
