British Kart Championships launch the Wera Tools Karting Excellence Award

The 2024 Wera Tools British Kart Championships have introduced an exciting new accolade for this year’s series, the Wera Tools Karting Excellence Award.

The all-new honour will be in addition to the familiar Wera Tools Driver of the Day Award and has been created to recognise the mechanic or kart team that has demonstrated exceptional collaboration with their driver or team during each event on the BKC calendar.

The new Wera Tools Karting Excellence Award has been created to reward some of the hard-working team members behind the scenes of each karter in the paddock and the winner will receive a Wera Tools BKC Tool Kit worth over £1,300. Drivers and teams can nominate deserving candidates after each event, and the winner will be awarded the Wera Tool Kit in a presentation at the following BKC round.

In addition, the coveted Wera Tools Driver of the Day Award will continue into 2024 and is based on a public vote following each round. An expert panel of judges will nominate one driver from each class, and the public will choose the winner. The recipient will be honoured with the coveted Wera Tools DOTD trophy, a Wera BKC winners hat, a Wera BKC winners visor sticker, and a free practice session at the next BKC event.
